Children & Families

At Emmanuel we seek to help our children and families grow as followers of Jesus and to learn more about him through the Bible. There are teaching groups for all ages and stages which meet each week to do this.

Mum and Tots

Mums and Tots meets weekly to build friendships and support each other. We have a variety of toys and activities, with quieter corners for mums of new babies. Mums can catch up over coffee and cake, and we finish each week with a short story and circle time song singing.

Ages 0-3 years
Wednesdays during term time, 10.00-11.15am

Dads and Tots

Dads and Tots provides a venue, once a month, for dads and pre-school kids to spend time together. It is a great opportunity for young dads to meet each other and of course to give mum a break! Includes lots of toys, and bacon sandwiches and fresh coffee for the dads.

Ages 0-3 years
Every 2nd Saturday during term time, 9.30-11am

Crèche

Our crèche is run every Sunday to allow parents of young babies (0-18 months) to stay in the service and engage with God’s word.

Ages 0-18 months
Sunday 10.30-11.45am

Robins and Rabbits

Robins and Rabbits meet during the 10.30am service for free play, dress-ups, snacks and crafts that help us learn about God and his world.

Ages 18 months-3 years
Sunday 10.30-11.45am

Sunday School

Each week at Sunday School we have a fun programme of songs, activities and Bible stories during the 10.30am service. We have a high ratio of leaders to children and, to ensure the children get the most out of each session, we sub-divide for part of our time into smaller age-based groups.

Ages 3-7 years
Sunday 10.30-11.45am

Explorers

Explorers is for children aged 8-11 who meet on a Sunday morning during the 10.30am service. This group meets on the other side of Lingfield Road in a local hall.

Ages 8-11 years
Sunday 10.30-11.45am

Special needs

Emmanuel is blessed with a small number of people with special needs who regularly attend on a Sunday.  A group of church family members provide and co-ordinate support during services for these individuals. This may be for part or all of a Sunday service, with two adult helpers supporting each person (subject to rota helper availability). If you would like more information, please get in touch.
